Waterless, Non-Toxic Dust Control for Equestrian and Other Uses

Formulated for equestrian use, ArenaKleen® immediately halts dust from going airborne by soaking into the fine sand and stone dust particles, making it look damp but without ever requiring a drop of water. You have the same footing consistency at any time of day or night, dust-free, for your rider and horse health and safety. ArenaKleen handles any arena footing comprised of sand and/or native soils, with or without additives such as felt, fiber, rubber, glacial silt, etc.

Because ArenaKleen never dries up, never evaporates, never hardens, never freezes (at Earth temps), and does not wash away with rain, it is ideal in arenas and round pens whether indoor, outdoor or covered. It does not require any water, it is not hygroscopic and will not desiccate your horse’s hooves like Chlorides do. It does not wash away or dilute in rain events, ensuring you long-lasting, consistent control and feel. Even dusty parking areas and access roads can benefit from treatment.

ArenaKleen is a non-corrosive, non-hazardous product that is safe for people, horses, pets, plants, fish and wildlife. Proven for over 20 years, horses routinely eat hay in arenas treated with ArenaKleen. Poultry is dipped in ArenaKleen to treat scale mites. Farriers use ArenaKleen-based products as hoof dressing. Thousands of sand volleyball players dive into ArenaKleen-treated sand pits weekly, without even a skin allergy reported. EPA, DOT, EU, and many other regulatory agencies have approved ArenaKleen and/or its sister-like product, DustLess.

ArenaKleen application rate depends on the dimensions, depth, and type of material being treated as well as type of use. The higher the application rate, the longer the treatment will last. Ultimately the buildup of fugitive airborne dust, horse droppings, and micro particle shear from riding will wear it down and eventually reach a threshold to re-treat. Indoor arenas require less frequent applications than outdoor, not due to rain/runoff, but more due to faster fugitive dust accumulation. Most outdoor arenas re-treat annually whereas indoor sites can run dust-free for 2-5 years between applications. ArenaKleen has accumulative/residual affect so after the initial treatment, subsequent re-treatments are at a lower rate and lifespan is usually increased somewhat. This affect increases with each treatment (as long as no new arena footing material is added).

To estimate your project, please use our Contact Us link and tell us your length, width, average depth and footings composition type (sand, native soils, any felt/rubber/silt/fiber additives). It’s also helpful to know if your arena is indoor/outdoor/covered, high or low traffic, your primary riding discipline, and whether your base is comprised of granite/stone or compacted native soil/clay.

It is easy to DIY apply, just like spraying water. Often our clients utilize a water trailer (rentable) or a garden hose sprayer with gas or electric pump. Apply half your ArenaKleen order, drag, then apply the other half and drag again. We have experienced applicators in many regions as well as some sand quarries that can even pre-treat new footings. We are happy to email an information packet with product details, application techniques, references and more. Contact Us for more information.
