DirtGlue® family of Polymers
The DirtGlue® family of polymers functions as soil binders that can be utilized for erosion control, paver joints, parking lots, golf courses & ramps, bike paths, and even road building (including military base access roads for driving tanks and other super-heavy duty equipment). Except for DirtGlueDry™ powder, all DirtGlue polymers are shipped as liquid concentrate and diluted with water at the job site. A summary of the polymer products follows below:
DirtGlue® Regular polymer creates a thin crust for erosion and dust control in non-traffic areas, such as capping stockpiles, reducing hillside erosion, or treating large PV (solar power) farms. Depending on application rate, it can permit water to permeate, but not absorb, or it can act as a liquid tarp for years/decades to prevent erosion and airborne dust. It can also be applied with hydroseeding, preventing grasses, plants, and native flora to flourish on DirtGlue-stabilized hillsides. Once disturbed by foot or vehicle traffic, DirtGlue Regular polymer bonds are severed, and the treated material reverts to its native state.
DGCool™ operates pimilarly to DirtGlue Regular, but is used when curing temperatures are between 32°F and 44°F since DirtGlue® Regular and DirtGlue® Industrial require overnight lows above 44°F to cure properly.
DGBalance™ cures to a rubbery consistency down to 32°F, and if disturbed by vehicle traffic, still provides ample dust suppression.
DirtGlueDry™ ships as a dehydrated powder to mix with sands for paver joints, and other uses where water-based activation is preferred. DirtGlue® Industrial polymer cures to a hardness that surpasses asphalt and concrete and doesn't necessitate aggregate being trucked in. Native soils can be used instead, especially when combined with TerraDry®.
TerraDry® makes clay and organics hydrophobic with its nanotechnology, providing long-term durability in freeze/thaw climates, and with PolyCure™ to accelerate curing times and enhance bond strength. There are auxiliary products, such as PotHoleGlue™, that do exactly that. Simply mix PotHoleGlue with your aggregate of choice, and it bonds to the asphalt or concrete to create a long-lasting patch. PotHoleGlue™ Complete is a new product for 2025 that is comprised of a suitable aggregate mix with the polymer base for a one-step application. MasonProof™ penetrates concrete and stone to protect against the elements, pavers from wine and oils, and reduces primer coats for concrete buildings. As its nanotechnology is able to penetrate masonry, concrete, asphalt, pavers, stucco, plaster, grout, bricks & mortar, it does not scratch or chip off and waterproofs from the inside out.
